  • Editors comment: A nice, almost naive feel, to Ewen's paintings, the one I have chosen here really does describe the work well. It's just beautiful the way the artist has shown the light forcing its way through the trees. At the end of the day artists do need to remember that without light there is no painting, Ewen's work is a strong reminder of that. Lovely work and a nice easy on the eye site, so pay him a visit, I feel sure you will enjoy the work.

  • Editors comment: Nice contempory watercolour paintings.The artist uses watercolour as it should be, like the image on the left, loose washes, brilliant granulation and just a hint of the sailing boats. Like I said, nice. I know how easy it is to overwork watercolour and Steve's paintings don't look laboured and so the result is clean fresh paintings. Granulation is a bit of a hit and miss thing, this picture is a hit. I do recommend that you pay a visit.

In traditional watercolour style the paintings are superb.
