Editors comment: This artist paints from the heart, I really do mean that. The work is absolutely beautiful, I mean, just look at this painting here, 'Matriachal Giver'. The composition of the painting itself is extremely well thought out the main subject filling the one side and the picture frames on the wall with the other person in the centre. The work looks like a watercolour to me but is in fact oil pastel on watercolour paper. The whole painting is complete. The artist also paints flowers, there are some poppies in the one work that really are stunning, and the truth is I was not sure which picture to display here, for that reason alone I ask you to pay a visit to Geraldine's site as that is the only way you will can see what I mean.

Editors comment: I find this artists work quite enthralling, the painting here held my attention for several minutes, I still cannot find a description for it except it's spot on!, whatever that means !! Maybe it's the posture of the subject, she is almost enticing me, that is some effect for a painting to have on a viewer. There are some lovely landscapes on display as well as some black and white work but in the main I fell for the figure studies, there are more like this, they are lovely. Another artist who deserves an art lovers time.

Editors comment: An exceptional portrait, that's my view of this image. The artist has no problems with drawing people at all, in fact the opposite she seems to excel. The very strong contrast between light and shade is obvious and it works well, the composition of the subject is well thought out, as is most of the work. I like good strong colour in a painting and this portrait "glows" because of this. I have no problem in recommending the site for your visit, you should enjoy it.

She starts with an excellent drawing, that is the most fundamental thing that some artists don't realize, so the finished work is exceptional. I think this pet here is about as good as it gets, just look at the folds of hair, beautiful. I think you will enjoy looking at this artists work, I certainly have.
