  • Site Description: Sculptures and prints for sale.
  • Editors comment: 'Crimson Hue' I like this painting as it has a fresh feel to it. The artist has created a beautiful work using two completely opposite colour hues, we have the warm reds set against the start cold of the blues and it works, it works well. Faye doesn't have many paintings on show but she does have some exceptional sculptors, all in all a very talented artist.

  • Site Name: chrissy guest paintings
  • Site description: Stunning landscapes and abstract paintings in oil and acrylic inspired by the Sussex Coast and Downland
  • Editors comment: This artist paints with amazing passion, it is evident in all of the work that Chrissy gets 'inside' her subject. The mood of the weather, the wind, I mean I really could go on and on. The artists work gives me a sense of the atmosphere, so much. Her use of colour is extremely bold, strong brush strokes as well, I can imagine these paintings take an emotional toll in the sense of the sheer wanting and need to convey the subject. Wow, she can paint, all equal in feeling, excellent and I recommend you to take a look.
This painting is featured in the 'Brighton Festival'.

  • Site description: gallery of botanical art, nature and landscape photography.
  • Editors comment: Claire has many paintings, and digital images, but I have chosen this one just because of it's glorious colour, excellent colour perspective and tone. All of the necessary ingredients for a painting to succeed. Just look at the beautiful pinks of the Foxglove, so true to life it beggars belief. Claire is a wonderful talent and deserving of your time, lovely work.

  • Site description: Dorset artist painting Expressionism - landscapes and still life.
  • Editors comment: I absolutely love strawberries, I can just imagine the taste of these... Taken on its own this is a strange subject, take the composition for a start, there isn't one complete strawberry, this is quite clever because we find ourselves trying to look at something that isn't there, any painting that leaves you wondering is working. I like the way Annie makes strong use of colour for the fruit and her attention to fine detail is apparent when you look at the seeds of the fruit, minute but strong. Most of the artists work carries this theme and I find the work appealing, I'm sure you will as well so go and take a look.

Christine Eynon

  • Site Name: Christine Eynon Gallery
  • Site description: I work with watercolour, pastel, oil and acrylic. Moody Wales, friends and strangers inspire me.
  • Editors comment: This artist paints the most moody and atmospheric watercolour you will ever see, they are full of incredible depth, feeling and warmth. Christine seems able to paint in any medium with ease, watercolours are my favourite though, take this image here, it is so realistic you can feel the damp on your face. South Wales gives us artists some good material to work with but as they say you need the talent to begin with, Christine has that talent, go and see for yourself you will be delighted.

Christine Derrick

  • Site Name: Florals & Landscape by Christine Derrick
  • Site description: Flowers and landscape in oils, acrylics, pastel; modern and traditional style.
  • Editors comment: I'm not quite sure where to begin with Christine's work, it is delightful to say the least. The artist paints flowers giving attention to the exquisite petal detail, you cannot appreciate the work just by looking at this picture as it is the large images that display the true quality, and quality it is! Each petal is a work of art in it's own right, the finished flower head is stunning. There are other subjects as well but for me it's the flowers that express the artists work best. You will be satisfied if you visit, of that I'm sure.

Geoff Beckett

  • Site Name: Geoff Beckett Art
  • Site description: Fun and quirky acrylic landscapes and more by an emerging Welsh artist.
  • Editors comment: This artist really does have a unique painting style, an excellent point in that he paints what he sees as opposed to what someone else saw. It's a crying shame that there isn't much work on display, maybe more to add at a later date! This picture combines both landsacape and seascape, a wild and atmospheric sky gives a strong sense of drama to the overall image, Geoff describes his work as 'quirky', I'm not sure about that one. Strong and colourful is my description, go and see them for yourself.

  • Site Name: Landscape paintings romantic pictures
  • Site description: Scottish art gallery of landscape paintings, figurative paintings, flower pictures, art prints, corporate art commissions.
  • Editors comment: I have chosen this image because I, like this artist, have painted this view of Edinburgh Castle and it is not easy. Looking at John's painting you could be forgiven for thinking it is, the painting is beautiful, the strong winter sunshine illuminating the Castle slope, beautiful. There are many paintings of this standard on the site I suggest you should go and see, you will be pleased with what you find.
