  • Editors comment: Life like, photographic, just real, I can't really find any other words t describe this artists work. The artist must have photographic eyes to be able to produce this quality of work. Whoever orders a portrait from Sally can be rest assured they will not be disappointed with the result. I can say no more at all other than to recommend you pay a visit and be prepared. Beautiful.

  • Site Name: www.artkm.com
  • Site Description: Modern dog portraits in acrylic on block canvas.
  • Editors comment: If you are an animal lover you will enjoy Karen's paintings, if you are a dog lover you will want one. An very good drawing is followed by skilful brush strokes, applying the paint in just the right places. The artist has a strong and traditional style that is easy on the eye, each painting is an accurate re-production of the owners pet and I for one would be satisfied if it were my beloved pet. I really can't say much more other than to urge you to pay a visit, you will enjoy it. It's just a shame there aren't many paintings to see.

Emily Burrowes

  • Site Name: Art-Shed
  • Site Description:Affordable, flexible art work by painter and printmaker Emily Burrowes
  • Editors comment: I wish I could employ a style that is so expressive, I envy Emily. Serious, I am a devil for detail, Emily proves that does not need to be the case. This painting is brilliant and that's a fact, there is still exceptional skill involved because the initial drawing has to be correct or the work would fail. If we look at the tonal value of the painting we can see the shapes in the painting are true to life, there is not much more I can say except go and take a look, you will not be disappointed I wasn't.

Nicky Jones

  • Site Name: Faithful Friends Portraits
  • Site Description:Lifelike portraits by Artist Nicky Jones - detailed paintings of pets, people, and other animals, from photos.
  • Editors comment: What lovely pet portraits this artist paints. I have always believed animals are like humans when it comes to painting them, the drawing has to be spot on or else the work fails, this artists work does not fail. We have a drawing that is technically correct and so we then get a great painting. The horse here is absolutely beautiful, if I wanted a horse painting I would certainly ask Nicky. Nicky uses a good palette, not too strong, and with good tonal value the finished piece is first class. I recommend that you pay a visit, another artist you should enjoy.

Elizabeth McCrindle

  • Site Name: Elizabeth McCrindle Fine Art Gallery
  • Site description: Professional artist based in Scotland specialising in equine/dog portraiture and subjects with a rural theme.
  • Editors comment: Super paintings, I found it a pleasure to visit this artists site. Elizabeth has a good eye for the initial drawing and as a result the finished work is excellent, the artist again has a good eye only this time for composition, the subject in this sample has no background to confuse the viewer and the result of that is total concentration is placed on the dog, he looks great. As I say I have enjoyed my visit and I'm sure that you will.
