SCRAMBLESQUE 3

Site description: Contemporary abstract watercolour and acrylic paintings.

Editors comment: I never know how to describe Mark's work, abstract can be pretty much whatever you want it to be but Mark seems to have a distinct style of working that becomes apparent the more you view his work.
The artist uses a vast imaginary library of blocks and shapes, and I have to give credit to him for the way he composes these shapes to form interesting artwork. I will not try and describe each image as it is beyond my ability, suffice to say he is one very talented artist.

All of these images are taken at random from Mark's site.

The following text I think describes Mark's precise thinking process to a tee, "I approach my work by exploring simple geometric forms, curved and straight lines, open and closed shapes .
Often, I work in one or two colours with just variations in tone and texture. The overall aim is hopefully to create something pleasing to the eye.
"
That gives a good insight into the man and his painting, the work is both pleasing and compelling.
