EYE OF THE STORM

Site description: Contemporary bespoke textured canvas artwork innovative design at affordable prices.

Editors comment: I am not sure where to begin with Karen and her style, unique is an over used word sometimes, it is the only word though to describe all of her work.

'Liquid gold and metal gold leaf ' are two of the materials that were used to create 'Golden Orchid ' below left, with, on a heavy textured canvas the result is really quite stunning. I am sure my digital images used for this display do not do the work any justice.

The first row of images is comprised of 'Golden Orchid ', described above. 'Bloom Iris' is another that leaves me pleased, pleased to be able to see such work. 'Two Become One' is lovely, the artist describes this piece in the most beautiful words you can imagine. 'Opulent Bloom' is another piece that blows me away, using various materials including crushed glass, amazing talent. 'Crystal Flows ' is another piece that Karen has used crushed glass to create, I would love to see this work in real life I really would.

The second row of images is comprised of: 'EYE OF THE STORM 2' A Dynamic piece, white acrylic gloss with a raised black gloss wave wich draws you in to the red raised glossy eye of the storm, what a piece. Another terrific idea from Karen's site is a childrens section, 'Love Is' is a design that is very popular as a new baby gift, the names are all hand crafted, raised and metal silver leafed. 'Fern Duo' is a raised bronze fern design. 'Inspire' is circular canvas gold raised fern with silver metal leaf band on a mottled background, another stunning piece of art. 'Acid Rain' is different, silver leaf has been used to create the rain drops, beautiful. All of this artists work is beautiful, I mean it.
