Sunset PaintingsSite description: Original Sunset Skies, Seascapes, Abstract and traditional fine Art. Editors comment: The main image above is best described by Wendy's own words: The paintings on display below are all self explanatory, the main theme to the artists work is colour, strong colour blended in a truly professional way that is self evident in all of the work. The Cafe with a perfect viewThe The Cafe With A Perfect View painting above, is just beautiful, you get the feeling you can touch him, or her, so realistic is the work that this huge animal really does look alive. |
The first row: The first painting, 'The Gift', is a beautiful sunset, rich strong colour make this for me, Wendy uses a delightful palette to great effect. 'Summer Solstice', another sunset but with cool blues complementing the rich warm colours at the bottom. 'Ocean' is another that uses the cool blues to great effect, the contrast with the warm tones is terrific. The second row: The next painting 'Still Waters' uses just blue in the main, the gentle cloud cover gives this a sense of great distance. 'Sunset after the Rain', you can feel the romantic atmosphere within the work, lovely. More blues and reds make this last picture work well, the artist really does have a nice palette and more to the point she knows how to use it. |
About Wendy PuertoI grew up in Battersea South West London, I have painted for as long as I can remember.I now live in Essex I appreciate the space and the scenery which often gives inspiration for my art. I find everyday something will give me ideas to get on and paint. Ideally I would like to live by the sea and perhaps open a gallery. I am always willing to consider any reasonable offers on any of the pieces that catch your eye. I also would like to paint exactly what you are looking for so if you have any ideas then why not commission your own painting. Visit Wendy Puerto and Sunset Paintings Here. |

Chasing the sunChasing the Sun This painting, is lovely, absolutely lovely. Visit Wendy Puerto and Sunset Paintings Here. |
The third row of images: 'Sky of contrast' is just what it says, a completely different use of colour here, the painting is quite dramatic. 'Coral Reef', well, this small image doesn't do it justice, you need to see the main image on Wendy's site to appreciate it's textures. The next work, 'The Golden Tree' is painted with Metallic Acrylic which gives the piece light changing qualities when viewed from different angles, another image that doesn't do the original justice. The last row comprises: 'Patriot' is another painting that oozes warmth. This next work, 'The Lonesome Pine', features a small sailboat on a vast expanse of water, it really is lonesome, the strong sunlight against the dark trees works well. The last image is a triptych sunset painting that would look great on any large, probably white, wall, true art decor. |
