Accessibility and this site

This website has been developed to comply with the international web accessibility standards issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as part of their Web Accessibility Initiative. All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that top level and main content pages conform to: W3C's "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0"

To the best of my knowledge this site now follows the guidelines set out by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0
This site now meets the World Wide Web Consortium W3C and the Web Accessibility Initiative WAI AA-level standard using automatic validation software.

I must stress that this site now passes automatic validation, I need user feedback to support that automatic validation with manual validation, that's you, please.

Whether you are able bodied or disabled, If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the accessibility of this site, please contact me your input is important.

To re-size Text:

Internet Explorer 6 use: CTRL + Mouse wheel (or Tools > Internet Options > View > Text Size)
Internet Explorer 7 use: Page > Text Size > then choose (You can use CTRL + Mouse wheel but it's quirky, it zooms and most things go queer, I suggest you use the first option)

Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape use:
CTRL +/- (or Tools > Options > View > Text Size)Visitors can navigate using the following keystrokes: H to cycle forwards through the headings
Shift + H to cycle backwards through the headings.
1 to navigate to the next level 1 heading (or a number between 1 and 6 to navigate to the next heading on this level)
Shift + 1 to navigate to the previous level 1 heading (or a number between 1 and 6 to navigate to the previous heading on this level)
INSERT + F6 to provide a list of all headings.

Opera:
To re-size text use SHIFT +/- ( or View > Zoom> then choose a percentage)
The following keys can be used to navigate headings: S to go forwards through the headings, W to go backwards through the headings.
Once you are inside a site Opera will go forwards, X and backwards, Z very easily.

WebbIE:
An excellent text browser is WebbIE. WebbIE is a web browser for blind and visually-impaired people, especially those using screen readers.
It is free and renders in html or text only, visit them now A terrific program.
Download directly from the next link: direct download now

For web designers visit here and see how a text only browser renders your site.

And finally, Ben -Cerbera Millard- Ben was the first person that replied to my plea for accessibility help, he can be found at Site Surgeon or he can be reached via the Accessify Forum The accessibility forum provides a wealth of knowledge, so much so that there can be no honest reason for any site owner to not comply with the WCAG Guidelines.

I stress there were other helpful users in the Forum as well, to them I say thank you.
