  • Editors comment: The cold stare of this wolf says it all for me, any artist that can create pencil drawing to this standard deserves to do well. The shading is done very well allowing the crisp detail to stand out, not only the eyes but the whole head is right, some artists have problems when it comes to animals faces, not this one, he is spot on in my opinion. The artist has an incredible grasp of what colour is all about, he demonstrates this by simply assembling colours side by side, or does he. I would not know where to begin to paint as Colin does, he is extremely technical but too complicated for me. I suppose this makes me an ordinary artist. His work invokes thought, it is meant to. A talented technical artist who is worthy of your time, you decide.

This one, available as a fine art print offers a subtle, subdued atmosphere to any living room, using a nice palette of pastel tones all of the artists work has a distinct calming influence.   • Editors comment: This is the opposite of some of Judy's subjects, some work can be really cute, whimsical, but then we see this type of painting. A beautifully executed painting containing immense warmth and incredible distance. The artist seems to have a natural talent with any type of subject, she gives them all equal attention to detail, even this one of a rape field crop, lovely warm yellows behind the soft cool blues, lovely. I think you will enjoy looking at even more of this artists work, it's worth your time that's for sure. Go and enjoy, I have.

'Quadratic Boots' is the name of this work, you will notice the angles and curves that have been drawn, this is a striking feature of the all of the work. Where on earth Mary gets the inspiration from I don't know but she is good, very good. Leonardo da Vinci maybe, unique is a word that can get overused sometimes but I'll risk it, Mary's work is unique. Visit the artists site and be impressed.

  • Editors comment: The artist has no fear of any subject, this is evident in this lovely painting entitled 'Lily of the Valley', in contrast Rosemary has pen and ink sketches of horses and a cute painting entitled 'Little Ted', a teddy bear. This painting here shows a nice subtle use colour, from the deep colour of the background, the calm of the green and the cold almost of the white blooms themselves. White is a difficult colour to reproduce, the artist has no problems though. You will enjoy this varied work, I certainly have.
