Editors Comments: Paul seems to excel in creating paintings that give a great depth of distance.
This achieved by a subtle use of colour perspective and tonal balance, take this painting here, 'Calm' a beautiful rendition of the sky 'melts' seemingly into the horizon. If you look closely you will see that there is no strong horizon line, it is gently blurred into the sea.
We then get this beautifully painted reflection creeping toward us.
