This artist has an accurate eye for detail when it matters, just look at this painting, 'Engine' is the simple title, the painting is far from simple though. The incredible attention to detail is inspiring, even in this small image it's possible to see the complexity of the subject, everything is there, everything. Ian is an artist who cares about his work, it shows, I have no problem in recommending him to you. Brilliant.

  • Editors comment: First of all I need to say this artist is just one of many, this work is simply my choice, all of the artists are excellent.
    I have chosen this work, 'Liquid Light Red', because I love the metallic feel that it gives me. The work is actually inspired by the energy given off by volcano's, I do think that it fairly represents the incredible power that they have. Molton rock does behave in this manner, I love the work. A great piece of art.

The painting shows excellent colour perspective and tonal balance, it would be easy to get that wrong with a subject like this. Once again I must stress that every artist has work to this standard and I admit to being at a loss over which images to choose. The only thing I can do is urge you to pay a visit to the site and form your own conclusion.
