  • Editors comment: This is one of Colin's oil paintings, this is an excellent example of how a piece of art doesn't have to be full of colour. The scene here is a master class of perspective, linear or tonal, perfect. The strong reflections shown make for an incredible 'wet' look that can often make or break a painting if rendered poorly..

  • Site description: Landscape paintings by C C G Edwards, original oil paintings, watercolour paintings, prints and cards.
  • Editors comment: Clive is an artist of true 'old school'. 'Light, water, mist and dew are my tutors', this very humble description is of the artists own tongue, it actually says more about the man than I ever could. The paintings are best described by themselves. I myself am inspired by water and light, I understand how Clive arrives at a finished work. This painting here is just one of many that will enthrall you with their peaceful and serene atmosphere. A beautiful replication of mother nature, absolutely.

  • Site description: David produces a range of paintings in oil on canvas and canvas board.
  • Editors comment: I have chosen this painting because a picture with boats in is relaxing, to me anyway. The artist has a good eye for perspective, looking directly into these boats is a difficult subject to draw, never mind paint. With strong sunlight being evident we have a painting that instills warmth, strong warm colour is contrasted by cool blues. A difficult combination but David has managed it. Nice work of varying subjects make for a good visit so give him a look, you will enjoy it.

  • Editors comment: The thumbnail on the left here cannot possibly describe Brian's work, the main image for this shows us a stunning group portrait painting. I know of few artists who can paint to this standard. I could go on for ever trying to do this artist justice, I simply can't. If you like quality work then visit the artists site and form your own judgment. Brilliant.

  • Editors comment: The artist lives and paints in France and doesn't his work show it. One is quite envious when reading about Paul, I am anyway. Never mind back to the real world. Paul paints a landscape incredibly well, he uses a gentle colour mix to great effect, nothing is harsh, everything is subtle. Beautiful work. This image is ' Olargues en Hiver, Languedoc' it oozes warmth from the red roofs of the houses and this has a backdrop of incredible scenery, mountains, some wooded and some just solid rock. Excellent work and deserving of your time.

  • Editors comment: The artist paints in a style I have never seen before, a truly unique style. He seems to have a way of letting the colours flow into one another, this creates a liquid flow where the main subject blends into a mass of colour streaks! and that is just this picture. You need to visit the artist and come to your own conclusion. I am a deep thinker and this work holds on to my attention somewhat, it's good, it's interesting. Take a look you will be pleasantly surprised.

  • Site description:  Oil Paintings of Abstracted Flowers and Animal Portraits with Textured and Depth of Paint.
  • Editors comment:  Lisa has a strong and unusual style, the artist takes something as plain as this, a tulip in this case, and somehow marks it with her own abstract style. The creative mind at work is truly thoughtful as we have a technically correct drawing that is then moved and molded into a finished painting that is not identical to the flower, not quite, but nearly. Like I said an incredible thought process. I'm impressed.

  • Editors comment:  I have chosen this piece of work because most of you will recognise the second part of 'The two Ronnie's, who could not recognise him. Brilliant, an accurate likeness is obvious throughout all of David's paintings. There are many pieces to see and appreciate. If you fancy a portrait by this man I'm sure you will be satisfied. I'm sure I would be. Take a look and see for yourself.

  • Editors comment: Traditional British paintings, beautiful. Leslie paints in the same style as British artists have from many years ago. You are able to 'sit' on the riverbank and listen to the water as it rushes over the stones. Crikey am I nostalgic or what, it's true though. There are many paintings of landscape, beachscape and animals, all are painted with equal thought and concentration. You will be pleasantly pleased if you do visit his site. Lovely work, all are available as prints too.

  • Editors comment: What lovely landscapes this artist has to show us, beautiful. One painting, 'Monsal Dale Waterfall' is extremely good, I know the view quite well and I can honestly say that Jonathan has got it spot on. This painting here shows a lot of thought on light, composition and tonal value, as do all of them. The Derbyshire Dales are incredibly beautiful and I envy the artist quite a bit. There aren't many paintings on show but the ones that are there will catch your eye.
