  • Editors comment: This is a lovely painting, again we have complicated angles and shapes, the beautiful choice of blues compliment the subtle orange with no clash of any description. Once more we can see the influence of the original French Impressionists and yet there is a unique style that appears to flow throughout all of the work.   • Editors comment: Some excellent marine paintings on show here, living where the artist does I expect he gets to see the sea in all of its glory, and fury! Painting water isn't easy, especially moving water, the artist captures it without any problems at all. He uses colour that is truly representative of where he lives, grey blue tones predominate, he paints it as he sees it. The dramatic cliffs in this painting show us how powerful this beautiful country is. Jim paints a first class picture, some of the work is extremely dramatic, you will enjoy your visit, I did.

The paintings do truly represent 'life' as it really is, not 'dressed up' just plain as it is, so to speak, the result is thought provoking, it makes you look. Look with eyes that 'see' rather than just looking. I find the work quite inspirational and am sure art lovers will also. Go and see for yourself.
