  • Editors comment: Well what can I say?, these paintings are awesome, a well painted wildlife picture is something to behold and these are well painted. It goes without saying that most of us enjoy looking at these magnificent animals from the safety of our armchairs, I could not imagine facing up to anyone of these, and so when an artist such as this young man paints this type of picture I, and most of us, will thank him.
    The artist has no problems with the drawing of these animals and so it follows that if the drawing is accurate then the painting has a good chance of success, these paintings are a success. A visit to the site will show you what I mean, a darn good site design as well !!.

  • Editors comment: Another artist who studies the human form, and very good he is. Richard manages to capture in this painting beautiful and delicate skin tones, believe that is difficult, I know I have tried. The ultra strong background colour serves to display the model in the most attractive and gentle way possible, if you study the larger image on the site you will notice there is very little detail in the painting of the model, it is not needed, as it works well, very well.

  • Editors comment: What a beautiful portrait of this cat, I'm a dog owner myself but I do appreciate a good painting and this one is. If you look closer you will see a combination of good composition, this is vital for a portrait to succeed, in my opinion, and a technical drawing skill that again must be right or else the whole project falls down. When all this is in place Tom then paints superbly, absolutely brilliant, you really must pay a visit and judge for yourself.

The image I have chosen is typical of the countryside in this country, we have it all including the old red phonebox, in fact that item should be made a listed building, my opinion anyway.   • Editors comment: David's paintings have something about them, something fresh and almost, well just fresh. The artist has a good colour sense and a keen eye for colour perspective, the balance is good as well. It's a shame I cannot show a higher resolution for you as well because cutting the quality back for the internet always is tough on the artist, never mind, the image is fairly accurate. As always I leave the viewer to form their own conclusion so I shall do no more than send you to his site.

  • Editors comment: This artists work has a style all of it's own like the image on the left. There is a bold use of colour and the artist is not afraid to use colour in a different way to normal, you really need to visit the site and see what I mean, some of the subjects painted employ a gentle blending of bright colour in an attractive way. I think the work is very good and the artist is quite clever with her methods. I do think you should go and see for yourself as there is not much more I can add.
