  • Site description: Fun and quirky acrylic landscapes and more by an emerging Welsh artist.
  • Editors comment: This artist really does have a unique painting style, an excellent point in that he paints what he sees as opposed to what someone else saw. It's a crying shame that there isn't much work on display, maybe more to add at a later date! This picture combines both landsacape and seascape, a wild and atmospheric sky gives a strong sense of drama to the overall image, Geoff describes his work as 'quirky', I'm not sure about that one. Strong and colourful is my description, go and see them for yourself.

  • Site description: Flowers and landscape in oils, acrylics, pastel; modern and traditional style.
  • Editors comment: I'm not quite sure where to begin with Christine's work, it is delightful to say the least. The artist paints flowers giving attention to the exquisite petal detail, you cannot appreciate the work just by looking at this picture as it is the large images that display the true quality, and quality it is! Each petal is a work of art in it's own right, the finished flower head is stunning. There are other subjects as well but for me it's the flowers that express the artists work best. You will be satisfied if you visit, of that I'm sure.

  • Site description: Photorealistic celeb portraitures, still lifes and commissioned drawings in graphite
  • Editors comment: Excellent graphite portrait art work are on this site, the artist uses pencil (graphite) as I might use a camera !. He says in his description that they are photrealistic, he is right. Even the way he plans the background is well thought out, just a little, shaded into the main subject, I say that because it is easy to overwork that part of the drawing and spoil the end result. You really must go and take a look.

  • Editors comment: Multiple tones of red together with a wide variety of patterns make for an interesting painting, and I am only talking about this one. If complex and interesting colour combinations are your thing you will love this artists work. Jonathan manages to mix all manner of items, colour included, into one complete piece of art that sometimes dazzles the viewer. There is one particular work, 'Preserve', that takes ordinary shapes, circles, and and turns them into art, a talented artist, for sure. Another piece, 'Flurry', so complex. A great display is waiting for you so go and give him a call.

  • Site description: The site contains a cross-section of works, mainly water-colour landscapes, life drawings and prints.
  • Editors comment: This artist paints a wide subject choice with equal skill, whether it's a group of roses, as in this painting, or a sun soaked beach in Cornwall or Devon. There are so many paintings on display I found it quite difficult to choose just one, I chose the roses because they are quite simply, beautiful. After a busy weeks holiday in Cornwall this summer I can vouch for the atmosphere in Beth's seascapes, the work really does catch the feelings quite well. If you love art you will love this work, I certainly do.

  • Editors comment: I find this artists work quite enthralling, the painting here held my attention for several minutes, I still cannot find a description for it except it's spot on!, whatever that means !! Maybe it's the posture of the subject, she is almost enticing me, that is some effect for a painting to have on a viewer. There are some lovely landscapes on display as well as some black and white work but in the main I fell for the figure studies, there are more like this, they are lovely. Another artist who deserves an art lovers time.

  • Site description: I work with watercolour, pastel, oil and acrylic. Moody Wales, friends and strangers inspire me.
  • Editors comment: This artist paints the most moody and atmospheric watercolour you will ever see, they are full of incredible depth, feeling and warmth. Christine seems able to paint in any medium with ease, watercolours are my favourite though, take this image here, it is so realistic you can feel the damp on your face. South Wales gives us artists some good material to work with but as they say you need the talent to begin with, Christine has that talent, go and see for yourself you will be delighted.

  • Editors comment: I absolutely love strawberries, I can just imagine the taste of these... Taken on its own this is a strange subject, take the composition for a start, there isn't one complete strawberry, this is quite clever because we find ourselves trying to look at something that isn't there, any painting that leaves you wondering is working. I like the way Annie makes strong use of colour for the fruit and her attention to fine detail is apparent when you look at the seeds of the fruit, minute but strong. Most of the artists work carries this theme and I find the work appealing, I'm sure you will as well so go and take a look.

  • Editors comment: This artists work is about as unique and as good as you will ever find anywhere. That's a fair statement and I stand by it. If you like an artist who does his or her own thing then this is the one. Rob paints in a most delightful and yet comical way, he sees things on a different level to most of us. Take the Hawk on the left here, how can a painting of a plane make you smile, this one does, yet the detail is there, all of it. Make no mistake this artist knows his subject and I am just pleased to be able to send you to enjoy some of his work, it's outstanding, and different, almost forgot, he paints people as well.

  • Editors comment: I know this artists work very well, to say it is good is an understatement. Penny paints most subject matter in a traditional way, but now and again she produces some of the most surreal work you could imagine! On your visit just take a look at the Surreal gallery! Equal concentration is evident in all of the work but boy do I love the animals, the dog here is that real you could stroke him/her, the shine on the coat and the depth of colour is quite extraordinary. Penny has a new site to match the art work, all in all you really should enjoy your visit, I did.
