Editors comment: I have chosen this painting because of its 'solid' feel, 'PARATINGA', is a strange title and one that I cannot fathom. The work itself though I can fathom, I think.
We have strong blocks of warm colours that have a distinct black edge, except a red upside-down red 'L' shape on the right.
Why just the one without a border?
That is just one reason why I like Mark's paintings, I am never completely sure if I am interpreting things as the artist intended, he must be smiling to himself now reading this.
Damned abstract art, tongue in cheek. He is good, very good.
