  • Site Description: Art inspired by living amidst the landscape and culture of Cornwall can all be bought
  • Editors comment: This painting of the 'Mazey Day, Penzance 2007' is exceptional, why?, it is an unusual angle, the viewer is peering over peoples shoulders to just catch a glimpse of the activity ahead. The atmosphere is buzzing and the painting has captured that buzz. There is another reason I have chosen this work, it is to be sold by sealed bid auction at Rainyday Gallery, Market Jew Street, Penzance during Golowan week 2008 ending at 5 p.m. on Mazey Day (Saturday June 28th). Proceeds to be donated towards future Golowan festivals.
The link for these details is here.
That is a good reason. I must also mention Tom has an exhibition of recent paintings and charcoal drawings at the Spring and Steele Galleries, Falmouth Arts Centre, Cornwall, September 30th - October 11th 2008.
Pay him a visit and see more of his unique work.

  • Site Description: As a Qualified artist I have used and expressed creative techniques into the art work of today.
  • Editors comment: The image here is probably a good example of Andy's work, a sort of liquid movement, metallic even. This is the sort of style you either love or don't, if you do you will be absolutely thrilled, it really can be hung on almost any wall without fear of clashing as the finished work will be to your spec. I could envisage this work almost anywhere and I like it very much.

Dreaming of Africa by artist Sarah Allen
  • Site Name: SCA ART
  • Site Description: TModern Contemporary African paintings by international selling artist Sarah Allen.
  • Editors comment:  This artist paints in a bold and large, very large, style. One can imagine a set of these canvases hanging on a wall giving you a feeling of peace and tranquility. Some of Sarah's work is very calming, I like it very much. This picture here is just one of a set of 3 and is aptly named 'Dreaming of Africa', it really is beautiful. The artist also creates  imaging on transfers of pet animals. A very talented lady, you should enjoy.

  • Site Description: Modern contemporary art designs by international selling artist.
  • Editors comment: The artist gives us an insight into his thinking with his work. Cornwall, I believe is the inspiration behind his work. This image here is only one of three, they line up together to give a broad seascape and are they nice! He uses a strong palette to create these huge pictures which ooze depth and feeling. Extremely interesting work and a great flash website to display his work.

  • Site Description: Tessa-Gallery is the virtual realization of my art in the form of an online exhibition.
  • Editors comment: The artist employs broad brush strokes and a strong palette, on the site the painting 'Teignmouth Pier ' is a really good illustration of what I mean. The artist has a small image of a close-up of some sky detail and it is the best way I know for an artist to show their painting style. The image I have chosen is 'Boat' for my comments, it is another good example of the artists style. I have enjoyed my visit and feel sure you will too, so go on give it a go. You will enjoy the coastal paintings, beautiful.

  • Site Name: Abbeyimages.co.uk
  • Site Description: The work of Ian Macintosh in acrylics of subjects with historical connotations set against rural backgrounds.
  • Editors comment: A unique and interesting view into an artists innovative way of seeing different subjects. Ian paints using light and dark in extremes, an incredibly good way of giving a subject life. Strong contrast can impart a feeling of great distance, take this painting, we have strong foreground giving way to a distant light. There are many more paintings that seem almost surreal, the work will explain this better than I could so I ask you to pay a visit, you will enjoy.

  • Site Description: Conor Wilson acrylic paintings for sale, art gallery, art commissions, wall murals, art prints and airbrush art
  • Editors comment: The eyes say it all for me, this dog tells us just how accurate the artists first drawings and subsequent paint application is. This painting also demonstrates the artists ability to switch between modern and traditional styles. Some of the modern art also displays a richness that is not normally found with such style, good strong colour makes its own statement as well, it shows confidence. I like Conor's work a lot, Give the artist a visit and see the work for yourself.

  • Site Description:Modern dog portraits in acrylic on block canvas.
  • Editors comment: If you are an animal lover you will enjoy Karen's paintings, if you are a dog lover you will want one. An very good drawing is followed by skilful brush strokes, applying the paint in just the right places. The artist has a strong and traditional style that is easy on the eye, each painting is an accurate re-production of the owners pet and I for one would be satisfied if it were my beloved pet. I really can't say much more other than to urge you to pay a visit, you will enjoy it. It's just a shame there aren't many paintings to see.

  • Editors comment: Beautiful flowers, I don't paint flower pictures myself but I do know a good one when I see it. An excellent drawing is followed up with a sound application of paint. One painting in particular I do like, it is a Passionflower and it's lovely, rich in tone and bright lifelike colour, stunning. If you enjoy flowers and flower paintings you will enjoy Sue's work. Go and take a look, you will not be disappointed.

  • Site Description:Colourful original acrylics of the countryside: landscapes, seascapes, gardens. Some prints and photos available too.
  • Editors comment: A wonderful collection of paintings and prints are available on this artists site, some, as with this one here, are a breath of fresh air, you can feel the wind and hear the waves, that's good. The artist uses a strong palette with a good colour choice, a good composition of the subject also means a well balanced final painting. Lovely work that you need to see for yourself, you will enjoy your visit.
