  • Editors comment: Just beautiful, beautiful, that is my opinion of this artists work. Margaret has a unique style and I love it, she is not afraid to draw people, people in various positions and more to the point people on the move. She seems able to freeze the subjects in time yet if you look close you can see the subject in slight motion. As we can see from this image Margaret also captures the innocent and somewhat bemused face of this dog, there is nothing this artist cannot paint.

  • Editors comment: Refreshingly different is my first thought, beautiful work applied on to a very different media, rock or slate. It's great it really is, the artist has an excellent eye for detail and it shows in the finished work, this beautiful painting of the wise old owl is on slate and I could see it in my garden, it would go almost anywhere you could think of, like I say it's beautiful. For something different you should pay a visit to Ruth's site, it's worth it.

  • Editors comment: What lovely pet portraits this artist paints. I have always believed animals are like humans when it comes to painting them, the drawing has to be spot on or else the work fails, this artists work does not fail. We have a drawing that is technically correct and so we then get a great painting. The artist uses a good palette not too strong and with good tonal value the finished piece is first class. I recommend that you pay a visit, another artist you should enjoy.

  • Editors comment: I wish I could employ a style that is so expressive, I envy Emily. Serious, I am a devil for detail, Emily proves that does not need to be the case. This painting is brilliant and that's a fact, there is still exceptional skill involved because the initial drawing has to be correct or the work would fail. If we look at the tonal value of the painting we can see the shapes in the painting are true to life, there is not much more I can say except go and take a look, you will not be disappointed I wasn't.

  • Editors comment: It's a shame I cannot show you a better example of this artists work, with what is on show I can safely say you should enjoy your visit. Ros does seem to have a clever knack of making things appear easy, I can vouch that it isn't, any artwork can be difficult if things are not done just right but these paintings show a good deal of talent and capability. One last point, what an image !, can you just imagine sitting on a beach and looking at that, awesome. Click the picture and go and see.

  • Editors comment: Emma has updated her site now and there are many more interesting and really quite beautiful paintings for sale. I have chosen Northern Lights as a new image for the you as it has something about it, metallic paint is quite difficult to use but Emma has no problems. I do love this type of work where the artist paints their chosen subject and we, the viewer, can study and interpret it in whatever manner we wish. This painting makes good use of warm colours, well I just like it. if you are a lover of abstract art you will like this work, I do.

  • Editors comment: More portraits and I love them, to paint portraits you need first to draw the subject, not easy as I can vouch. Once Claire has completed the drawing she is then equally happy in either colour or graphite, I have chosen this image owing to the fact that the subject is easily recognized by us all. The artist is also very good with landscapes, in fact most subjects are covered and they all carry the same competent style, I have no problem in sending you to Claire's site, the pictures take a while to load though so please be patient.

  • Editors comment: This artist is not afraid to use strong colour and the result is artwork rich both in colour and texture. There is good range of subjects that should keep most visitors happy, I found the warm, rich landscapes very attractive. I have never pretended to understand all abstract art, I suppose this is personal to the viewer, but I do find some of David's abstract work quite intriguing. All in all I can recommend you for a visit, so go on, click the painting.
